#29Nick Johnston WR

Nick is one of the few eggheads on our team. He lives in the Mannix dormitory at Monash University where he is studying aeronautical engineering. He tells us “It’s not rocket surgery”. Judging by his Facebook page, it looks like there’s a lot more partying at Mannix than studying.

Nick is the fastest sprinter and highest jumper on the Rangers. With his hands of glue, we found the perfect position for him as a wide out streak receiver. Nick has an uncanny ability to catch any ball that is thrown in his general direction. He says “It’s elementary. You just project the initial velocity and trajectory of the ball and adjust for the gravitational pull of the earth along with the ambient air pressure and prevailing wind friction”. At most football clubs, that kind of talk will probably get you a wedgie or two. However, Nick earned MVP honours on our junior team as a hard-hitting linebacker, so we usually just smile and pretend to understand.
