Flag Football starting October 20

NOTE: 2017 Flag Football will be run at Griff Hunt Reserve on Lyons Road in Croydon North due to maintenance being performed on Ranger Field

A nine-week action-packed Flag Football program is coming to Croydon, commencing on Friday 20th October at 6pm. The program will teach the fundamental skills of American football in passing, catching and running the ball, as well the basic scheming and teamwork that drives American Football – all in a non-contact environment. The program will culminate in the Grand Final under lights on Friday 15th December. The total price of this program is just $75 (plus booking fee) with no additional uniform, equipment of match costs required.

Rangers young sensation James Dall commits to US Junior College

It is with great pride that the Jetmaster Heat & Glo Croydon Rangers can announce that the Stuart Thompson Landscapes Colts team captain James “Speedy” Dall has signed his intention to commit to the Junior College, Garden City “Broncbusters”, based in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Rangers James Dall has committed to Junior College as a Wide Receiver

James has been picked up as a Wide Receiver but is hoping to offer more than just his ability to catch when he lands in June. James has played as a Cornerback, Kicker, Punter and even Quarterback at Colts level, and Wide Receiver and Kicker/ Punter in the Gridiron Victoria Senior competition.

James was one of three Croydon Rangers to participate in the 2016 state trip to Singapore, where he was praised by State Head Coach Robert Smith. James is one of three Australian teenagers that have targeted by the college. Garden City has a solid football program and a reputation for nurturing players that graduate to NCAA College programs, and even have NFL players among their alumni.

2017 Croydon Rangers AGM

The Croydon Rangers are pleased to invite all members to the Club’s 2017 AGM, to be held immediately following the Thursday night training session (women and junior pre-season training) in the Springfield Pavilion club rooms.

Date: 12th Jan 2017
Time: 8:30pm
Location: Springfield Pavilion (Club Rooms)

All positions on the executive committee (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) as well as the general committee will be vacated and open for nominations through the Club Secretary (Ash Mays). All nominations must be received, in writing and completed on the attached form, at least 48 hours prior to the event.

Rangers win 4 straight with week 5 victory over the Warriors

Rangers win 4 straight defeating the Warriors

The Croydon Rangers have won 4 in a row, vanquishing their arch nemesis Monash Warriors 21-14 at home in a replay of their Vic Bowl showdown last year.

In the opening offensive play barely 10 seconds into the match, quarterback Jamie Stafford hit rookie Johnny “Football” Tanuvasa over the middle who raced 56 yards for the touchdown and an early 7-0 lead.
