This week both teams ventured down the Princess Freeway to Corio.
In the morning, the division 2 Rangers2 faced the home town Bay City Buccaneers and put in a valiant effort to restrict the Buccs to only 38 points.
In the afternoon, the division 1 Rangers encountered the division 2 leading Northern Raiders and celebrated Steve Churchill and Richie Garraway’s 150th games with a comprehensive 53-0 victory.
Churchy finished with 3 touchdowns, Richie helped himself to a rushing touchdown, Neale Oliver also had two receiving touchdowns and Nathan Pasco rushed for a score as well. Ian Box completed the rout, returning a punt 80 yards to the house behind a massive block by Nick Johnston down the Rangers sideline.
Next week we do it all again in Geelong, with the Rangers playing the Buccs in what will effectively book a place in the Vic Bowl for the winner at 10:30am, whilst in the afternoon the Rangers2 face the Monash Barbarians.

In the morning, the Rangers2 exacted revenge for their early season loss to the Royals, blanking them on the way to a 20-0 win.
In the afternoon, the Rangers division one team held on to defeat the Monash Warriors 15-12 with a thrilling goal line stand by the defense which got the win.
The game was also notable for 2nd year offensive lineman Taylor Gist pouncing on a blocked 2pt conversion attempt and lumbering into the endzone for the score.
The division one Rangers headed down the Princess Freeway to Morewell on Saturday afternoon to face the Gippsland Gladiators in the first cross division match of the 2011 season.
The Rangers were never really tested and took control of the game from the onset to power to a big win 57-0.
