Week 15 – Rangers defeat Warriors 36-6
The Rangers have closed out the regular season with a resounding 36-6 win against the Warriors, the perfect tune up for next weekend’s semi final where the two sides will do it all again for a spot in the Vic Bowl.
The Rangers opened with the ball and marched the field to set up a short run by QB Jamie Stafford for the touchdown. The defense made a stop and the offense was able to again find the end zone, this time on a 30 yard catch and run by Neale Oliver on the pass by Stafford. As the half drew to a close the Rangers again scored with a rushing touchdown to fullback Mark Doyle.
The second half saw the Warriors rush for a score, then the Ranger O turned it up a notch with their reserves in the game. Tyson Burgess rushed for a long touchdown and Oliver caught his second touchdown of the day on a short pass from Stafford.
The club sends its thoughts and well wishes to TE Stephen Cupido and OL Andrew Amato who both suffered serious knee injuries during the match. Get well soon guys.
