2015 Vic Bowl Champions

The Croydon Rangers took out their 5th Senior Championship on Saturday night at the Latrobe City Sports & Entertainment Centre, winning VicBowl XXXI by a score of 16-7 over the Monash Warriors, raising the Maurice MacAllister Henkels Cup. The VicBowl win adds to the silverware gathered at the 1995 GAV Championship, and the 1997, 1998, and 2004 VicBowls.

2015 Vic Bowl

The Rangers are returning to the Vic Bowl for the first time in 4 years, facing the old enemy the Monash Warriors who are chasing their 4th straight championship.

The 2015 Gridiron Victoria VIC BOWL XXXI is THIS SATURDAY 15th August At Latrobe City Sports & Entertainment Stadium in Morwell, about one hours drive south east of Croydon.

Kick off is at 6pm under lights, entry is only $5 and children under 14 are FREE!

There will be entertainment, food and drinks for sale and two cracking games of American Football. The curtain raiser is the Division Two Championship between the Monash Barbarians and Pakenham Silverbacks.

250 wins for the Croydon Rangers

The Croydon Rangers are headed back to the Vic Bowl for the first time in 4 years with a stirring 21-20 win over the Geelong Buccaneers on Saturday.

With the victory, the Rangers also reached the milestone of 250 wins all time. It was also the Rangers first post-season victory in 6 years.

For the 8th time in Gridiron Victoria history they will face off against the Monash Warriors for the state title.

Despite having finished 2nd behind the Warriors during the regular season they went into the semi the underdogs, a stigma they will also have to wear into the Vic Bowl.

2015 Week 13 Crusaders defeat Rangers 22-13

The Croydon Rangers regular season has finished with a disappointing loss ahead of yet another finals campaign.

Having lead at half time they simply could not withstand a 2nd half defensive onslaught, falling to the Western Crusaders 22-13.

Croydon flew out of the blocks early, looking to atone for a heavy defeat the last time these two faced. Starting with the ball they mounted a long, clock absorbing drive that failed to produce any points as a field goal attempt was blocked. The Crusaders struck on the very next series, marching the field for a touchdown and an early 8-0 lead.
